MEMBERSHIP

Full Membership

Full Membership of TROG is open to all Radiation Oncologists practicing in Australia or New Zealand who have an interest radiation oncology research and accept the aims of the Association. New members must be personally recommended by two existing Full Members, who must be named as your nominating members in the online registration form.  [click to register] 

Affiliate Membership

Affiliate Membership is available to Data Managers, Radiation Therapists, Medical Physicists, Statisticians, Registrars, Nurses, Medical Oncologists and Surgeons. To be eligible to join TROG as an Affiliate Member, persons need to be involved or express an interest in becoming involved in TROG trials. Affiliate members are not financial members of TROG (no annual subscription) and do not hold voting rights. [click to register]

Membership Applications

Applications for membership require a personal recommendation by two Full Members (a Proposer and a Seconder).  Once you have identified two Full Members who will  nominate you for membership, the application process simply involves choosing the nominating members from the list of Full Members in the online registration form. The nominating members will by contacted by TROG Central Operations to confirm their support for your membership application.

Annual Subscriptions

The annual subscription for Full Members is A$100 (plus $10 GST for Australian members). The annual susbscription fee can be paid online via credit card using the secure ANZ eGate payment gateway. The membership year is a calendar year, with subscriptions expiring on 31 March the following year, if not renewed. There is no annual fee for Affiliate Members.

Benefits of Membership

Becoming a TROG member is a positive step toward supporting clinical cancer research for the advancement of cancer therapy. Involvement in clinical trials is an effective way to help improve patient outcomes and also provides opportunities to learn about new treatment processes and techniques.

TROG members have access to the information and services of the Members section of the website, which includes:

  • TROG Member Forums
  • TROG Member Directory and Messenger
  • Minutes and presentations from TROG meetings
  • Copies of trial protocols
  • TROG Policy & Procedures Manual

TROG members also receive notification of trials under development and newly activated TROG trials. Members are also provided with the Annual Research Report, Newsletters and other important information about TROG and clinical trials.
